THE BIG NEWS! Celebrating love and new life on the way ....

Life has truly been a rollercoaster ride for me over the past 5 years. I have definitely celebrated many high points in my career including the success of my latest albums 'Journey' and 'Girl With The Golden Harp', touring internationally, and of course my marriage to the love of my life, Chris Marshall. However, there have also been some very difficult and emotionally challenging times aswell. In 2013, I suffered from ME/CFS, an illness which left me wondering if I'd ever perform again. Now, I'm pleased to say thanks to help of many specialists and doctors, I have fully recovered and have never felt better. I'm extremely blessed and know how lucky I am to have made it out the other side, others with ME are not so fortunate.

So, I'm back in full force, and have been working on a brand new album for release in February 2017. I'm so excited as I've been planning it for quite some time. The album is a celebration of love. The love of my husband, family, and friends makes my life what it is, as does my love of music. It's this love that has kept me going in the really hard times of the illness I went through, and learning to love myself a little more was at the heart of my recovery from ME/CFS. It feels emotional and honest to be creating an album of the world's most romantic, love inspired classical melodies.

Chris and I are thrilled to announce that we are going to become parents in 2017! We are both over the moon, and can't wait to meet our little baby which is due in early February. Some of you may remember my first album with Classic FM was released a few days before our wedding in 2012, and now it looks likely that the new album will co-incide with the birth of our baby. It seems I have a talent for combining big family events with album releases!! I'm very, very excited about it, and terribly grateful. Three years ago, I never would have imagined all this would be possible.

Between now and February, the new album is being recorded in partnership with Clogau and Silva Screen Records, and we also have some performances coming up. Among them is our very unique harp and percussion show 'Hands of Fire' which comes to the Gate Arts Centre in Cardiff on 7th October, and at Crown Church Hillingdon 15th October.

I will be taking some time to prepare and adjust to being a new Mum during late 2016 / early 2017, but I look forward immensely to the events planned in spring 2017 when I return to work. To keep updated with all my performances next year please visit the diary page.
